In order for horse’s  to be effective at the races, they must  learn to RELAX EARLYunder pressure.  However, first, this has to be achieved at a standstill and then in motion.  After which you can add open gallops that build STAMINA to the training program.  Once the horse can make upward and more importantly downward  TRANSITION'S without melting, allow the horse to REVEAL his EMOTION and naturalSPEED, which is required toTRIUMPHThis cannot be achieved without RESILIENCE on part of the horse or trainer, a quality possessed in abundance by ELITE horses and trainers, and that quality is one of the cornerstones of their SUCCESS and a prerequisite to winning a stakeTROPHY.

CONFORMATION

Conformation flaws happen to us all

They happen in early spring, summer and fall

They are usually not bad when the snow’s on the ground

So don’t go to sleep and don’t turn around.

One look away will cause some despair

Always, look, remember, and compare

Start with his ankles when he is day’s old

That’s what it takes to get them to hold

Sometimes you have to be a little bold

To try and help correct and get them to hold

Watch for his Knees when the grass comes around

Keep trying to keep his frog on the ground

Knees and ankles have got to line right

Better keep on and stay on and fight

When things don’t go well don’t dam’m him to hell

Just stand there and listen to everything well

As he speaks he surely will tell, what it will take to get him to sell

Once he walks through with his hoof on a shoe

The horse is the victor and it is because of you.
